Looking for a job can feel hard. You might be spending hours going from one website to another and still not finding anything that fits. The good news? You don’t have to do that anymore. Jobs First Durham (JFD) has two powerful tools to make your job search easier: the Jobs Board and the Job Map. These tools are free and easy to use — even if you’re not great with technology.
What is the JFD Jobs Board?
The Jobs Board puts job listings from over 50 websites all in one place. You can search by job type, employer, location, and more — without jumping from site to site.
With the Jobs Board, you can:
- See full-time, part-time, temporary, or casual jobs
- Search by job title (like cleaner, delivery driver, receptionist)
- Find jobs that match your skills and interests
- View postings that are added every hour
- Apply directly through links that take you to the employer’s application page
What is the Job Map?
The Job Map shows where jobs are located in Durham Region. It’s helpful if you want to work close to home or if you use public transportation.
On the Job Map, you can:
- See where each job is on a map
- Find jobs close to bus routes, schools, and child care
- Check if a job is near your home or easy to get to
